11 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari with Devine African Safaris

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park (6 to 7 hours)

Enjoy breakfast and transfer from Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park which is Uganda’s largest park.

The park is a habitat for animals like elephants, buffaloes, giraffe sand a variety of antelopes. En route, you will visit Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking which lasts 2 to 3 hours and proceed for lunch in Masindi town on 11 days of gorilla trekking Uganda safaris.

Continue to Murchison falls and upon arrival, visit the Top of the falls where water thunders through different rapids from a 7-metre gap to fall over 40 meters Gorge below and proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Murchison River Lodge

Day 2: Game drive and launch cruise along the Albert Nile

After an early breakfast, you will go for a game drive on the Northern Bank of River Nile. The activity takes about 3 to 5 hours and Wildlife in the Park includes elephants, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, lions, Hartebeest, Uganda kobs, Oribis and waterbucks.

After the drive you will return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon; go for a launch cruise on the Albert Nile which will give you an exciting panoramic view at the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. Along the cruise, you will encounter crocodiles, hippos, and birds on the river banks like kingfisher, cormorants, bee-eater and the rare shoebill stork. The launch cruise lasts approximately 3 hours. Dinner and overnight as above on 11 days of gorilla trekking Uganda safaris.

Day 3: Transfer to Hoima (4 hours)

Have breakfast at leisure and depart Murchison falls heading to Hoima where you will arrive in good time for lunch and explore the town and its attractions including Mparo tombs, the royal palace and an evening guided village tour to learn more about the local lifestyle in Hoima. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel KonTiki

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale National Park (5 hours)

Early morning after breakfast, you will set out for your journey to Kibale Forest National

Park with lunch en-route in Fort Portal town and proceed with the journey to Kibale forest. Dinner and overnight stay at Chimpanzee forest guest house

Day 5: Chimpanzee Habituation Experience (Full Day)

Have breakfast and report to the park headquarters for briefing after which you embark on the Chimpanzee habituation experience where you attend to the Chimpanzees as a care taker! You will enter the forest early and watch chimps leaving their overnight nests between 6:00 – 6:30am before feeding, copulating, hunting, breastfeeding, resting, patrolling and displaying until it is time to build new nests around 7pm. Return for dinner and overnight as above.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (5 hours)

Enjoy breakfast and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park with an exciting visit to Amabere Ganyinamwiru stalagmites site, caves and the waterfall plus a rewarding hike to the crater lakes in Fort portal. Have lunch and proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Arrive Queen Elizabeth national park and embark on the evening game drive in the Kasenyi sector  a favourable hunting and mating ground for lions. Enjoy a 3 hour Game drive and proceed to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Park View Safari Lodge

Day 7: Ishasha Game drive and Launch cruise

Wake up before dawn, sip a cup of coffee and embark on your drive to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park for a game drive where you may see most of the big five and chance yourself a sight of the tree climbing lions.

This side of the park is less explored and the vegetation itself is interesting. Exit Ishasha at 11am and drive to Mweya where you will enjoy lunch at Mweya safari lodge.

In the afternoon, you will go for a 3 hours launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This cruise will let you pass through a place of the highest concentration of hippos and you may also see many animals drinking at the water’s edge. The cruise also offers good platform for

Photography, bird watching and game viewing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at

Park View Safari Lodge as above.

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi via Ishasha (8 hours)

Breakfast will be served early and embark on your journey to Bwindi forest driving through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park to boost your chances of seeing the tree climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi with lunch en-route arriving in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge

Day 9: Gorilla trek in Bwindi forest Park

Early in the morning after breakfast and a briefing from the UWA officials, set off for the gorilla tracking. This is a once life time experience and unforgettable adventure.

The ranger guides will lead you into the thick forest and start your search for the endangered Mountain Gorillas. You will move up and down the rugged terrain until you finally meet these harmonious creatures that will entertain you with performances for about 1 hour.

The activity can take 2 to 8 hours depending on the movement of the Gorillas. This is an awesome and exciting moment. En-route, there are other types of the primates such as the monkeys, birds and more.

After the trek, you will receive your Gorilla trekking certificate and meet up with your driver / guide and return to the lodge where you will spend the evening at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay as above.

 Day 10: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park (5 hours)

Have breakfast at leisure and transfer to Lake Mburo national park arriving in good time for lunch and an evening game drive. This park is the only place you will see Zebras on the entire safari! Dinner and overnight stay at Rwakobo Rock

Day 11: Transfer to Entebbe

Get up before the morning light and go for an early morning game drive to catch up with the early risers and a chance of spotting the leopard.

Return to the lodge to freshen up and enjoy mid-morning breakfast, after which you transfer back to Entebbe with a stopover at Equator at Kayabwe for water experiments and photographs, Royal drum Village at Mpambire for souvenirs. Drop off at your hotel in Entebbe or transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight.
